Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a diverse dental specialty, treating in addition to teeth, a diverse range of diseases of the oral cavity, jaws, face and associated structures. The department offers undergraduate and postgraduate training facilities and is actively involved in patient care and research activities. The department provides in-patient services in addition to its OPD services. Patients are admitted for surgical treatment in the Medical Hospital where 10 beds have been allocated for Maxillofacial Surgery. We have a dedicated emergency team looking after any emergency that comes to the Emergency Department of the hospital, 24 hours a day.
Since 2012, the department has partnered with Smile Train organization and has been providing free treatment to patients with cleft lip and palate defect. The Department of Maxillofacial Surgery is also a referral centre and gets references from health care centers of adjoining cities and some parts of India as well.

Evaluation and management of patients suffering from maxillofacial trauma Diagnosis and management of patients with facial and dento-alveolar infections Diagnosis and management of patients suffering from temporo-mandibular joint disorders Diagnosis and management of oral pathological lesions including oral cancer Diagnosis and management of patients with cleft lip and palate- Done free under Smile Train. Diagnosis and management of salivary gland disorders Orthognathic surgery for management of facial deformity
