Teaching learning activities related to the maternal health nursing are carried out according to the teaching schedules and includes SISs, Seminars and LABEXs along with clinical postings and ward teachings. The department conducts in-service education twice a month.

Prime responsibilities of Patient care and community services are also carried on along with the Research activities, which are always a priority in the field. Regular PMTCT programme in antenatal clinic and maternity ward is held.

The postgraduate course comprises of Ward postings, Clinical classes, seminars and clinical presentations.
